Introducing

The Inner Theatre

A shared language for how we think and feel.

The Inner Theatre is a vocabulary — built on a theatre metaphor — that allows us to talk more specifically about what's happening inside us. Why we react the way we do. Why we get stuck in patterns. And how to start changing them.

It gives us a way to describe things we've always felt but never had the words for.

The cast
The Actor
Us, on stage, interacting with the world
The Croc
Safety officer. Writes fight, flight, or freeze.
The Monkey
Showrunner. Writes our stories and scripts.
The Audience
Our needs. They watch and send signals.
The Third Writer
We meet them later.
Signals
How the audience tells us what it likes and doesn't.
The whole thing is about how they interact with each other.
